Project Description:
The project involved renovation of
17,000 square feet of the existing first floor Health Sciences
wing of Kennedy Hall at Sandhills Community College. Renovation
included replacement of the existing multi-zone HVAC system with
variable air volume units, replacement of the existing ceilings
and lighting, new floor finishes, new wall finishes and minor
alterations to the existing wall layout. The project also
included new casework and equipment in the Medical Lab,
Respiratory Lab, Nursing Lab and Surgical Lab.
The Surgical Lab was enlarged to
include an adjacent space and surgical laboratory casework and
surgical table lighting units were provided.
The existing auditorium was also
renovated including new HVAC systems, new ceiling and lighting,
new floor finishes, new wall finishes and new motorized
projection screen and motorized, recessed projector mount.
Construction Cost:
$961,467
Multi-prime construction contract
with separate prime contracts for General Construction, Plumbing
Work, HVAC Work and Electrical Work.
